Rosa Parks
Can sitting in the wrong seat on the bus really change society, as we know it? Rosa Parks changed the world. As the cliche states, “big things come in small packages.”This means, that sitting on a bus is usually not important. It was important because it gave everyone hope that equality could be prevalent. Rosa Parks was born in Tuskegee, Alabama, on 4Th February, 1913. This has many meanings into it, Rosa Parks fought for people’s rights, and freedom. She didn't only fight, but she also never stop fighting.
First of all, Rosa Parks fought for people’s rights, and freedom. This may be the most important birth in Civil Rights history, I personally have a hard time imagining it without her. Rosa Parks fought for people’s rights, and freedom. She fought until the end. Rosa won many awards. Like the highest congress that the United States could give out. As well as, the highest congress award the USA can distribute. “Each person must live their life as a model for others”, (http://thinkexist.com/quotes/rosa_parks/ “Quote”)
Secondly, The book on Rosa parks says, “Parks became a popular public speaker”(Rosa Parks,# 54). She also, became a published speaker during and after the bus boycott. She let her kind sounding voice flow through the air. She spoke until people were satisfied with what she was saying. Rosa and Martin Luther King can be compared, because they fought for the same rights.
Besides, I have many goals that I have set out to accomplish. However, the one that’s most important, for me, is to never give up. Rosa never gave up no matter what happened. When she was going to jail, she just confronted it. She even accepted going to jail. This was an example of Rosa not giving up, “The only tired I was, was tired of giving in”(http://thinkexist.com/quotes/rosa_parks/ “Quote”).“I'd see the bus pass every day,” she said. “But to me, that was a way of life; we had no choice but to accept what was the custom”(http://www.hfmgv.org/exhibits/rosaparks/story.asp “Montgomery Bus Boycott”)
Finally, now that we know something about Rosa Parks. Many people would think that Rosa really wasn’t a hero. She was a spokesperson for the people’s freedom. She saved people’s freedom. She was a hero. She was the one that stopped the violence of the African American and the white people. That is why she was known as, “THE MOTHER OF THE CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT”(http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4973730 , Parks)
